Alaina Stroebel, LCPC

I am Alaina L. Stroebel, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). I was born and raised on O’ahu Hawai’i and have lived in Idaho for the past 7 years. I enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, cooking, and reading. When I’m not in the office, I am chasing my littles ones (3 and 3 months) and spending time with my best friend (my husband). I love that being a counselor helps me to have a good work/life balance.
I earned my bachelor’s of science degree in psychology with a concentration in pre-clinical/counseling as well as a minor in Biblical Studies from Corban University. I also earned my master of arts in clinical mental health counseling from Corban University. I have worked in human services for the past 12 years and have been practicing counseling in the state of Idaho since 2019. I received my professional license in 2021 and my clinical endorsement in 2025.
My counseling philosophy uses a combination of person-centered, psychodynamic, and strengths-based approaches. I also specialize in integrative Christian and mental health counseling and offer this to clients upon request. I believe people are trustworthy, resourceful, and capable of making the changes they desire. By building a relationship through genuineness, unconditional positive regard, and empathetic understanding, I will partner with you to work toward your goals.
The program in which I completed my master's degree had an emphasis on how to utilize the Christian faith in clinical mental health therapy. What this means is that I have been fully trained in the skills of clinical mental health counseling and understand how to ethically incorporate the Christian faith in therapy. This differs from pastoral and biblical counseling as I do not teach or preach to my clients about the Christian faith. Instead the clients that request this approach experience exploring mental health issues through a Christian worldview and encouragement in their faith. Therapy may include examining scripture for guidance, discussing Christian values, and ending/ beginning with prayer at the request of the client. Although this is an expertise and a favored approach, I only use it when a client requests. I continue to enjoy working with clients of all faiths, populations, and cultures.
Alaina Stroebel offers counseling for individuals 15 years and older with a focus on trauma and abuse (PTSD), divorce, domestic violence counseling, women’s mental health counseling, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and Christian faith/spirituality.

Bonnie Davidson, LMSW
About Me
I’m Bonnie Davidson, LMSW, a clinical therapist at Maluhia Wellness. I’m an Idaho native who has lived in several states over the years, including Montana, North Dakota, and Washington. Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, writing, and photography.
I entered the mental health field in 2015, beginning my career as a case manager working with individuals experiencing severe mental illness. Over time, I transitioned into psychiatric hospital settings, where I served as a liaison supporting clients and families through transitions of care and connecting them with resources. During this time, I pursued and earned my Master of Social Work. I have since returned to Idaho to provide clinical therapy and value being closer to family and community.
Therapeutic Approach
Both my personal and professional experiences have shaped my belief that challenges are a shared part of being human. I approach therapy with authenticity, recognizing that we all experience times of feeling stuck, overwhelmed, hurt, or alone. Seeking support during these moments can be a meaningful step toward healing.
I take an eclectic, holistic approach to therapy, viewing each client as a whole person with unique experiences and strengths. My work is grounded in person-centered and strength-based principles, and I integrate evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD/Autism, and trauma-related concerns, supporting them in building insight, developing coping skills, and moving toward meaningful change.
I strive to create a space where clients feel accepted, understood, and supported wherever they are in their journey.
Bonnie Davidson offers individual counseling for ages 13 and older. She offers expertise in neurodivergence, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD Counseling, Neurodivergence Counseling, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD Counseling), anxiety, trauma and abuse (PTSD), and suicidality.
Her approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)
